View the version history of an object

KCM Designer features a version control system. You can check the history of an object, which includes the status of an object revision, changes information, and more.

Navigate to the object, click it, and then click View History in the Other Actions pane on the right. The "Revision history" pane appears containing the following information.

Column Description
Name Number of the revision.
Revision Status

  • in development means that the object is being edited.
  • draft means that the object has been just created or edited.
  • accepted means that the object is correct and ready to be published.
  • published means that the object is being used in production.
  • rejected means that changes to this object have been rejected. If the user who rejected the revision indicated the reason, it is shown here.

Last changed Date and time when the object was last changed.
Revision Created by Author of the object revision.
Changes in this Revision Description of the changes included in this object revision. If the user who unlocked the revision added a comment, it is shown here.
Click to open a context menu. Depending on the object type, you can view the revision in a separate pane and/or download the revision to your computer.
