New Validation Method window

Use this window to add a new validation method and to define its type using the following settings:

Name

Type a name for the validation method.

For the best results, use a name that includes information about the validation method type. This helps you and other project administrators differentiate the validation methods when configuring extraction. For example, preface your locator with "DL_" for database locators, or "FL_" for format locators.

Type

Select a validation method.

Depending on the selected validation method one of the following properties windows is displayed.

Standard Validation. (Default: Selected)
Date Validation.
Regular Expression Validation.
Single Field Script Validation.
Multi-Field Script Validation.
Invoice Field Validation.

The following buttons are available at the bottom of this window:

Button	Description
OK	Closes the window and saves your changes.
Cancel	Closes the window without saving your changes.
Help	Displays the help for the open window.
