Group Settings dialog box
Use this dialog box to create a device group. The forms that you create for the group appear on the panels of devices in the group.
General tab
Option | Description |

Display Text |
Type the name for the device group. This is a string value describing the name of the group. The component uses the name as a logical group name. The name does not appear on the device panel. |
Associated MFPs |
Type the IP addresses or host names of the devices in the group. Click the button in the Ping column to validate the IP address or host name for a device. |
Global Authentication |
Select this option to apply global authentication settings to the devices in the group. Authentication (2.0, 3.0, 4.0, and 6.0) tab provides more information on global authentication settings. Clear the option to define authentication settings specific to the group. Authentication tab provides more information on the authentication settings. |

Standard Authentication |
In the Server or LDAP Path field, type the Active Directory server name or IP address or the LDAP path for authentication. Select a bind type:
If necessary, select additional bind options:

Plug-in Authentication |
Configure the following options for custom authentication code:

User Info Lookup |
Select Use LDAP Search to retrieve additional user information to configure an LDAP search to retrieve the email address and full name of the authenticated user. Click Configure and configure LDAP search settings. If you need to retrieve only the email address for the authenticated user, use the Standard authentication type instead of configuring an LDAP search. |
Test |
Click to verify that the system can authenticate a user name and password with the authentication settings that you configure. |
