Add a component to a task
- Click the component icon in the Toolbox to select it.

Use one of the following drag-and-drop procedures to add the component to your task:
Component type Do this Capture Drag the component into the process viewer. If a process already has a capture component, you will be prompted whether to replace it. Process Drag the component onto a connection line between two components. You can drop the component when the color of the line changes to indicate that icon is on top of the connection. Route Drag the component into the process viewer. If a workflow already has a route component, you will be prompted whether to replace it.

Remove a component from a task
Do either of the following to remove a component from a workflow:
- Right-click the component in the process chain and click Remove on the shortcut menu.
- First click the component in the process chain to select it, then press the Delete key.
Remove a task from a configuration
Note: You cannot delete a task when it is the only task in a configuration.
- In the configuration, click the tab for the task you want to remove if it is not already selected.
- Click the Delete button on the ribbon. You can also right-click in the Task Viewer and click Delete Task.
