How to add a component to a task

This procedure describes how to add components to a task in an AutoStore configuration.

1. Make sure that the configuration and task you want to edit are open in AutoStore Process Designer.
2. In the Toolbox, expand the group that contains the component.
   The default groups are Capture, Process, and Route, although a task may appear in a user-created group.
3. Click to select the icon for the component you want to add.
4. Use one of the following methods to add the component to the task:

   Component type	Do this
   Capture	Drag the component into the task. If a process already has a capture component, you will be prompted whether to replace it.
   Process	Drag the component onto a connection line between two components in the task. You can drop the component when the no-drop pointer changes to a pointer that indicates that a component is on a valid insertion point. Restriction: The pointer only appears over an insertion point that supports the selected component.
   Route	Drag the component into the task. If a process already has a route component, you will be prompted whether to replace it.

   Restriction: You cannot add a process or route component until after you add a capture component to a task.
