Character restrictions

If you plan to use Form Field Names in the Rename Schema of your subsequent component, you cannot use the following characters:

• /
• \
• :
• ?
• "
• <
• >
• |

Use of the following characters is not allowed within the Menu, Form, Group:

• &
• <
• >

MFP scan restriction

• Users cannot change from using the ADF to using the exposure glass (or from the exposure glass to the ADF) during a scan session initiated by the Ricoh ESA capture component. This is a restriction of the Ricoh device software (SDK/J), which does not allow an application to change this scan parameter while scanning documents.
