Canon Licensing

Canon licensing uses a new royalty free licensing agreement between Kofax and Canon, as the Canon MEAP license used by Kofax embedded applications is now a royalty free A1 license.
Important:

Both the Canon Unified Client and Canon Unified Client Login apps require a separate license to apply for and install.

To obtain and apply your A1 LIC license file:

  1. Open the LAN file that was included with the application JAR file and record the license access number.
  2. Record and add the serial number for each Canon MFP you wish to license in a CSV format.
  3. Navigate in a web browser to the Canon License Management System (http://www.canon.com/meap).
  4. Enter the LAN number and click Next.
  5. Verify information and click Apply to Issue a License.
  6. Navigate to the CSV file on your local machine.
  7. Complete the rest of the steps until a license (.lic) file is downloaded.
