Access the DWS logs from the DWS Web administrator page. (See
View the DWS Web administration page
for full information about this feature.) Follow these tips for using the logs:
-
Make sure logs are enabled. We recommend to enable all logs so that issues on any device can be traced.
-
Create a snapshot as soon as you observe an issue. This way, you have a copy of the log even if you cannot recreate
the issue. Use the
Limit Kofax log files field to specify how many logs to retrieve. Set the
field to -1 to get all logs, but because this can impact performance, it is recommended that you use this option during off-hours.
-
Make sure the logs cover the duration of the issue.
Do the following:
-
In a Web browser, enter
https://<DWSHostName>:8443 where DWSHostName is the host name or IP address of the DWS server.
-
Enter the domain and a local DWS administrator name and password. Click
OK.
