Overview

Equitrac Embedded for Sharp OSA is an embedded application for select Sharp MFPs that enables secure document release and user access to MFP features through a custom user interface. Each Sharp OSA MFP communicates directly with the Equitrac Device Control Engine (DCE).

This version of the Equitrac Embedded application supports release keys and also enforces account limits for Equitrac.

Equitrac Embedded for Sharp OSA provides the following functionality:

• Authentication against Equitrac’s Core Accounting Server (CAS)
• Secure printing, including Follow-You Printing and multi-server Follow-You Printing
• Copy tracking
• Scan tracking
• Fax tracking
• Support in Equitrac version 6.x
• Server-based licensing

The SSL/HTTPS settings must be enabled in order for the MFP to communicate with DCE. To enable these settings, open the MFP Web Interface and navigate to Security Settings > SSL Settings.
