General tab

This tab provides general options to configure the Universal Capture Component.

Option	Description
Server Endpoint	Enter the path of the UCC server.
Check endpoint availability	Click this button to check if the entered Server Endpoint is valid and available.
Authentication	Select the authentication method appropriate for your environment: None: This is not a secure method and should only be used for testing purposes. Windows: Choose this option if you use the Kerberos authentication method. The Universal Capture Component connects to the server using the system log-in data of the current user. Handle Accepted Users: Opens the Handle Accepter Users dialog, where you can add users either by manually entering their credentials or by selecting them from the Active Directory after clicking the User from AD button.
Working folder	Specifies where the files should be copied to before they are passed to the workflow.
Keep rejected	Specify if you want to store files that failed to be retrieved from the external application by the Universal Capture Component. If this option is active, you must also specify a Rejected folder.
Rejected folder	Select the folder where you want to store files that failed to be processed. The failure can be due to several reasons and must be researched through searching the application log file entries. If no folder is specified for the rejected files, the file continues to display the status "Capturing" in the server repository, which leads to the file getting "lost". The administrator can change the status manually to "Validated" thus enabling the Universal Capture Component to retrieve it from the server. This setting is optional. Note: Typically, it is beneficial to have a secondary process that takes this folder as an input and routes messages out to system administrator to warn of failure.
Run documents from unknown class...	Check this option if you want to handle the documents that are not associated with Document Classes that are known and registered in AutoStore.
