Document tab

Use this tab to set the document attributes.

You can use RRTs in all text boxes of this tab.
Option Description
Rename title Use these options to set the title of the document on the server. Select the checkbox to enable renaming the title of the document, and enter a title in the text box next to the checkbox.

The title should be short but descriptive and can contain spaces and punctuation marks.

The behavior of the component in setting the title is as follows:

  • If the Rename title checkbox is not selected, the original file name of the document will be used.
  • If the Rename title checkbox is selected, then the text box must not be empty. In this case, the configuration cannot be saved.
Rename file Use these options to set the file name of the document. Select the checkbox to enable renaming the file name of the document, and enter a file name in the text box next to the checkbox.

The behavior of the component in setting the file name for the routed document is as follows:

  • If the Rename file checkbox is not selected, the original file name of the document will be used.
  • If the Rename file checkbox is selected, then the text box is used. In this case, it must not be empty. Otherwise the configuration cannot be saved.
  • If the file name specified is an invalid file name, then the configuration cannot be saved. If the text box contains RRT that results an invalid file name during runtime, then an exception (Invalid rename file name format) is thrown.
  • In case of Append, Prepend, or Insert, neither the actually uploaded file name nor the rename file option is effective. The file name and extension is kept from the document, which is on the server (to which the actually uploaded file is merged).
Summary Enter a short description of the document. The summary appears below the document title.
Description Enter the description of the document in this text box. Click the browse button (...) to open the Enter Description dialog box, which allows entering a longer and more detailed description. You can include HTML tags in the description of the document.
The new line html tag (<br>) is handled automatically. It does not appear in the Enter Description dialog box but appears in the text box.
Keywords Enter a comma-separated list of words that will be associated with the document. Keywords help to categorize documents and can be used to find documents in a search.
Author(s) Enter a comma-separated list of authors for the document.
Expiration date Enter the date and time after which the document is no longer needed. Sent documents will be marked as expired on the server after the specified date. You can use the Select Date dialog box to select the expiration date or any RRTs. If you use RRTs, then several date/time formats are supported.
Destination folder

Enter the destination folder of the document. You can use the Select Directory dialog box to browse for an existing destination folder. You can enter the folder manually or use any RRTs. If the specified folder does not exist, then an exception can be thrown or the folder can be created according to the state of the Create destination folder if does not exist checkbox.

The behavior of the component is as follows:

  • If the Create destination folder if does not exist checkbox is selected and the specified destination folder does not exist, then a folder is created during runtime.
  • If the Create destination folder if does not exist checkbox is not selected and the specified destination folder does not exist, then an exception ('Invalid destination folder’) is thrown.
Owner

Enter the owner of the document. You can use the Select User dialog box to browse for a specific user. You can enter the owner manually or use any RRTs.

This field must be empty or must contain an RRT or any valid user. Otherwise the configuration cannot be saved. If an RRT is used that results in an invalid user during runtime, then an exception is thrown. If this field is left empty, then the owner of the document is the owner of the corresponding folder.

Lock document Use this checkbox to lock the document on the server for editing by other users.
Locking a document (either in AutoStore or on the Web UI) prevents any conflict handling action. If this checkbox is selected, then a corresponding warning is dropped.

The Document tab contains two sub-tabs at the bottom.
