Create a template

A set of predefined email templates is part of the standard delivery. You can create additional email templates, if required.

To create an email template, complete the following steps.

Make sure you have completed the steps described in Set up the email service.

  1. In the Worklist, select Configuration > Email templates.
  2. Click New.
  3. In the General pane, enter a name and description for the new email template.
  4. In the Email Templates pane, click Add template and select a language for the new template.
  5. In the Subject box, enter the subject.
    Email templates use placeholders which will be replaced with actual values when the email is generated. For more information, see Placeholders.
  6. In the Email text box, click to display an editing dialog box, where you can enter the text for the new template. After editing, click OK.
  7. Optional. Add additional entries for additional languages. If the browser is set to a language without a corresponding entry, the content of the English entry is displayed
  8. Click Save.
  9. Assign email templates to user-related actions.
