Configure the Brother device in case Mass Deployment Tool is not in use

In case the Mass Deployment Tool is not used for the installation, after finishing adding Application and Device on DRS, continue with some manual setups on the device. You can skip these steps if Brother Mass Deployment Tool is used when configuring the DRS.

To take these manual steps, log into the device Web Admin page by launching a web browser and enter the following URL: http://<IP Address> or http://<Device Name> of your Brother device. Then do the following manually:

1. Go to Administrator > Solutions, select On in the Solutions field after you install device with the server application on the DRS. Select Off after uninstalling the device.

2. In the Login Portal field, select On after you install device and Off after you uninstall it in case you install both Equitrac and AutoStore or Equitrac only. If you install AutoStore only, leave this field intact.

3. <Optional - Skip if device is installed with AutoStore-Only application>

   In the Login Portal Message field, enter the Login Portal Message configured in the Device settings on DRS.

4. Go to Administrator > Solutions > Solutions Application Entry to configure the Login, Logout and Menu links as follow:

   1. Login link: <Optional - Skip if device is registered with AutoStore-Only application>

      Click Login and enter the 2 fields required:

      • Application ID: Enter UC_Login
      • URL: Enter https://<dwsserver>:8444/DwsMain/Brother/Authentication?DEVICE_UNIQUE_ID=<device id>&DEVICE_PRODUCT_NAME=Brother

        In order to have the device ID, go to the DWS WebAdmin by following this URL: https://<DWSserverIP>:8444/DwsMain/WebAdmin/app?view=logoff. Go to the MFP tab, you'll see the Device ID.

   2. Logout Link: <Optional - Skip if device is registered with AutoStore-Only application>

      Click Logout and enter the 2 fields required:

      • Application ID: Enter UC_Logout
      • URL: Enter https://<dwsserver>:8444/DwsMain/Brother/Logout?DEVICE_UNIQUE_ID=<device id>&DEVICE_PRODUCT_NAME=Brother

   3. Menu link: Click one Menu link and enter the fields required:
      • Application ID: Enter the maximum of 16 charaters
      • Display Name: Enter the maximum of 32 characters
      • URL: Enter https://<dwsserver>:8444/DwsMain/Brother/Launcher?DEVICE_UNIQUE_ID=<device id>&DEVICE_PRODUCT_NAME=Brother

   After uninstalling device, please manually remove those links above.

5. <Optional - Skip if you do not use card readers>

   Go to Administrator > External Card Reader to enter the Card Reader information including Card Reader Name, Vendor ID and Product ID.

6. Upload the CA Certificate to device by following steps in Install CA Certificate in case Mass Deployment Tool is not in use.
