Custom workflows

You can include native workflows, such as Copy, Fax, Scan or any vendor or third-party applications, on the Launcher screen or as Quick Shortcuts on the Logon screen. Before you can include these workflows, you must ensure that the following options are set in DRS:

The Unified Client is the default home screen application
Authentication is set to True
Authorization Level is set to Standard Tungsten Admin Authorization or Standard Tungsten User Authorization

See Use DRS to configure and deploy the unified client for more information. If you make any changes to the custom workflows, run the Update Configuration action to apply the changes.

Custom workflows are filtered based on device capabilities. For custom workflows that are not available on a specific device, when the workflow is selected from Quick Shortcuts, you are taken to the Tungsten Automation Launcher. When the workflow is selected from the Tungsten Automation Launcher, you might receive a message from the HP platform. In some cases, the platform does not provide feedback and the user remains on the Tungsten Automation launcher.

These custom workflows are not displayed if the DWS fails over to a different server.
