Configure the Follow-You Printing Application

To configure Follow-You Printing as a standalone interface, do the following:

  1. Open a Web browser and enter http://<MFP IP address> in the Address field.
  2. Log in to the Sharp MFP home page with your Admin credentials.
  3. If you are using OSA 5.5 or 6.0, in the System Settings tab, go to Authentication Settings > Default Settings. Under User Authentication, update the following:
    1. Select Enable for User Authentication.
    2. Select Sharp OSA for Authentication Server Settings.
  4. Navigate to Application Settings > External Application Settings > Standard Application Settings.
  5. Click Add(Y) to open the Standard Application Registration page.
  6. Specify the Application Name (e.g. Follow-You).
  7. Specify the IP Address for the Application UI: 
    https://<DCE IP address>:4942/public/dce/sharposa4/ui/FollowYou.xslt
  8. Enter a Timeout value (in seconds) to determine the length of inactivity the user has before being logged out.
  9. Click Submit(U) to save the application settings.
  10. Select the Application Name checkbox and click Update(R) to enable the Follow-You Printing on the OSA3.5 or OSA4 device.
  11. Log out of the device web interface.
