Log onto the Unified Client for Lexmark
When you log onto Unified Client for Lexmark, your options vary depending on how
authentication is configured on the Lexmark device. Users are authenticated at the
Lexmark device by using the on-screen keyboard to enter their credentials or by using
their cards at a Tungsten
Card Reader or third-party card reader.
- Touch the Lexmark screen or present your card at the screen.

Enter valid login credentials using the on-screen keyboard by tapping within
the User ID field, or by presenting your card to the card
reader. You might also need to provide a password.
Depending on the configuration, one or more login fields may appear.
The following are examples of valid login credentials:
- Equitrac primary PIN only
- Equitrac primary and secondary PINs
- Windows Networking credentials - network user name and password
- Present a card at the card reader
- Present a card and Equitrac secondary PIN
- Present a card and provide Windows password
- Equitrac primary PIN and Windows password
The last prompt field on the Login screen is masked to protect your login credentials. If secondary prompts are not enabled on the server, the User ID field is masked. If secondary prompts are enabled, the second field is masked instead. -
Press Login. Depending on how you entered the login
screen, you will:
- go to the workflow you selected on the Quick Select bar
- go to the Lexmark native home screen
- start the locked application that you selected
