Centralized and decentralized workflows

You can configure workflows in DRS as centralized or decentralized. When centralized workflows are configured, the home screen has a Unified Client for Xerox icon.

When decentralized workflows are configured (which is done by default), the home screen for all services has the following icons:

  • Print-to-Me

  • Release All

  • Capture Workflows

Note the following:

  • If Equitrac has "Prompt for billing code after user identification" set, the prompt for a billing code does not appear unless a Tungsten workflow is selected.

  • When Authentication is on, billing codes prompts can also appear after user identification. They are not limited to decentralized workflows. They do not require centralized workflows.

  • When the billing code prompt has been displayed, it is not displayed again during the same user session. If external authentication is used and a user logs out and logs back in again, the prompt is not displayed because the Unified Client for Xerox cannot determine that a new session has started.
