DRS settings after uninstalling the unified client
If you uninstall the Unified Client for Ricoh, you can
revert or restore the DRS settings that changed during installation. To edit the
SetDefaultDevicesSettings setting, do the following:
This setting is only
valid:
- If FAR is activated on your Ricoh SOP 1.3 or later device.
- If the Authentication setting from the Application is set to True.
- Stop DRS service, if it is running.
- Go to DRS_installation_folder\Device Registration Service\Service\Plugins folder, such as C:\Program Files\Kofax\Device Registration Service\Service\Plugins.
- Open the NSi.DeviceManagement.Plugins.RicohSOP.dll.config file in a text editor.
-
Search for the SetDefaultDeviceSettings key. Do one
of the following:
- If you want DRS to revert to the default settings, ensure that the SetDefaultDeviceSettings is True and Authentication setting for the application is set to True.
- If you want DRS to restore the backed up device settings that were changed during the unified client installation, ensure that the SetDefaultDeviceSettings is False and Authentication setting for the application is set to True.
- If Authentication is False, then DRS does not change the device settings.
- Save the file.
- Restart DRS service.
