Auto Import

This tab describes the management of Auto Import on the local computer. All computers connected to the capture server are listed along with their Auto Import status. If you enable Auto Import on the local computer, it can process any capture profiles configured to use the Auto Import feature.

Auto Import has the following tabs:

• General (default)

• Monitored Locations

• Network Resources

• Notifications

Select Enable Auto Import on any tab to unlock the Auto Import options.

• Enabling Auto Import makes it possible to monitor one or more local, network, SharePoint/WebDAV, and email folder locations. See Monitored Locations.

• Folders may be populated by MFP devices, network scanners, email/fax servers, or other devices that produce TIFF, PDF, JPEG, BMP, PNG, or other data file types supported in Advanced Indexing: Data Files.

• Auto Import of documents is not the same as workflow auto processing, where batches are automatically processed through their workflows by the system. To learn more about this process, see Workflow auto processing.

• Auto Import begins using an applicable PSIcapture license when the AutoImportProcessor.exe begins processing an Auto Import queue, which typically begins working when the administrator enables Auto Import in the General tab.
