Database Connection Setup

Settings

For Microsoft Access, do the following:

  1. Enter the path to the Access database or click Browse to locate it.

  2. Enter the user ID and password if applicable.

Advanced

The advanced tab shows the current connection string and makes it possible to add custom commands.

For Microsoft SQL Server, do the following:

  1. Enter the name of the SQL server or select the box to locate it.

    Selecting the box queries the whole domain for all SQL servers

  2. Select Use Trusted Connection or enter the user ID and password for the selected SQL server.

  3. Select a database to use.

For Oracle, do the following:

  1. Enter the name of the Oracle server.

  2. Enter the schema / owner (optional).

  3. Select Use Trusted Connection or enter the user ID and password for the selected Oracle server.
