Classification

In this tab, users can define all characteristics of a form, including how to identify or classify the form, and they can define how PSIcapture should behave when a classification occurs.

The grid in the middle of the workspace lists the global classification forms.

Global classification forms are not restricted to a single capture profile and can be used across any capture profile or configuration.

The grid has the following column headings:

Column heading Description
Form ID

The name of the form.

Record Type

The record type identifies the purpose of the form (for example, invoice, quote, purchase order). Using record types is another way to separate your forms.

Group

A list of available groups purely for organization purposes.

A group type can be something like manufacturing, tax, HR, or construction. With groups, the user can group forms together per industry for instance.

Validated

A check mark indicates that the form is validated.

The bottom of the grid indicates the number of total forms, validated forms (both in quantity and in percentage), record types, and groups.

The following buttons are available next to the grid:

Button Description
Add Opens the Classification Form Definition dialog box, where you can define a new form.
Edit Opens the Classification Form Definition dialog box, where you can redefine the selected form.
Copy Creates a copy of the selected form and opens the Classification Form Definition dialog box, where you make adjustments.
Delete Deletes the selected form.

Move Up

Move Down

Move To

Changes the order of forms by moving the selected form up, down, or to a specific position.
Show Details Shows or hides extra column headings for the list of global classification forms.
View Usage

Opens the Classification Form Usage Query dialog box, where you can view the global usage of each form and run a query by time frame.

Capture Profile Usage

Opens a dialog box that shows which capture profiles copied the selected form to their own Classification workflow step.

The selected classification form must have been copied from this global list to a localized list within a specific capture profile to appear in this dialog box.

Import Opens the Select Classification Form Import Type dialog box, where you can select which type of import to perform.
Export Exports an XML file from the Classification workflow settings.
