Security Configuration

Defines the parameters for a valid password, such as maximum login attempts, password length, and characters required.

Defines the number of days the user history is stored in the history log.

External authentication system: Enables users to automatically log in through Windows Security Provider (Default) or FileBound Security Provider. Other domain users can be imported with the Import button. PSIcapture attempts to get a user list through a standard LDAP get-user request based on the domain and Active Directory settings of the environment. When selecting FileBound Security Provider, a server connection must be added by clicking Configure > Add.

Enable automatic user registration: Determines whether PSIcapture automatically registers new users who access PSIcapture. When set to Yes, a default role may be assigned to new users by selecting a role from the Assign new users to role list. When set to No, these new users are not able to use PSIcapture until an administrator reassigns them new permissions and roles.
