Separation

With separation, administrators can define methods to separate documents and/or folders during capture. When scanning multiple documents at once, the program can determine when to begin each new folder and/or document. The user can create a structured batch containing multiple folders and multiple documents. Setting up multiple profiles gives the user the ability to change which type of separation method occurs based on triggers.

Two methods are available, and both methods have their own tabs:

  • Document separation

  • Folder separation

These methods have similar tabs in Capture Profile Configuration with central grids that have the same headings, and buttons with the same title. When the Separation tab is selected, the Document separation tab opens by default. The following buttons are available:

Button Description
Add Opens the appropriate Separation Profile dialog box, where you can define separation profiles and triggers.
Edit Opens the appropriate Separation Profile dialog box, where you can modify the selected separation profile.
Copy Creates a copy of the selected separation profile and opens the appropriate Separation Profile dialog box, where you can give a name to the copied profile.
Delete Deletes the selected separation profile.

Move Up

Move Down

Moves the selected separation profile up or down in the list.
Set As Default Sets the selected separation profile as the default.
Clear All Deletes all separation profiles.
