Capture Server

This tab helps you to determine the status of the installation and configure advanced settings specifically related to a capture server dedicated computer.

Click Open Service Manager to open the Service Manager. In the Service Manager, you can define which capture station operating mode to operate in. The default operating mode is Stand-alone station. If batches and batch information are to be shared, change it to either Capture Server or Network station. Selecting Capture Server for one of the stations in an environment enables the Security module and its icon on the Home screen.

In Advanced Settings, you can configure global notifications (that is, email or log entries) about the occurrences listed on the Notification subscriptions tab. Granular or department level notification of a particular capture profile can be defined in Validation and Exceptions.

The Advanced Settings group has the following tabs:

  • Email and log alert options (default)

  • Notification subscriptions

  • Support options

    Resellers can use this tab to specify an email address and website where users are directed when clicking any support links within PSIcapture. We recommend that all resellers populate these fields during the initial installation and configuration of PSIcapture to help new users.
