Customize keyboard shortcuts
Click the Keyboard tab in the Customize dialog box to assign shortcut keys to commands.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Category | Click one of the menu names in this list to display commands on that menu in the Commands box. |
Commands | Click a command shown in this box to assign a shortcut key to it. |
Key assignments | Displays existing shortcut key assignment for the command that is currently selected in the Commands box. |
Press new shortcut key | Press a key combination to create a shortcut key combination. For example, press Ctrl and S simultaneously on the keyboard to create the "Ctrl+S" shortcut key combination. |
Assign | Click this button to assign the keyboard shortcut shown in the Press new shortcut key box to the command selected in the Commands box. You can assign more than one keyboard shortcut to any single command. If a keyboard shortcut is already assigned to a different command, you will be prompted whether to reassign the shortcut. |
Remove | Click this button to remove the keyboard shortcut currently selected in the Key assignments box from the command that is currently selected in the Commands box. |
Reset All | Click this button to remove all changes to keyboard shortcuts and leave only the default assignments. |
Description | Shows the description for the command that is currently selected in the Commands box. |
