Numeric field options
A numeric field allows users to enter numbers.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Default | The default value for the field which appears on the device panel. |
Minimum | Specifies the minimum value (inclusive) permitted in the field. For example, a value of “10” for this option would allow all values greater than or equal to ten. |
Maximum | Specifies the maximum value (inclusive) permitted in the field. For example, a value of “50” for this option would permit any value less than or equal to fifty. |
Max Lenght |
Specifies the maximum number of the characters allowed in the field. The default value is 32767. |
Min Lenght |
Specifies the minimum number of the characters allowed in the field. The default value is 0. |
Precision | The number of digits after decimal point. If the precision is set to zero, then the device will only accept whole number values. If the precision is set to a value greater than zero, then the user may select the “*” button on the device to input a value that requires a decimal point. The default is 0. The maximum is 5. |
