How to create a new configuration
This procedure describes how to use AutoStore Process Designer to create a new configuration with a single new task.
Keep all your configuration files organized in one directory on the server. If you have a large number of configuration files, use subdirectories to group them in a meaningful hierarchy.
A server is started using a single configuration file, but
that it can contain any number for tasks.
- On the Home tab of the ribbon, click the New button.
- In the Task Properties dialog box configure the task properties, and then click OK.

After you create the configuration, click to save changes to the configuration in a configuration (.cfg) file.
Define and stick to a file naming convention to organize and keep track of your configuration files and templates.
