Start the EQXLPD service

The EQXLPD.exe must be run in the command-line utility as an Administrator to add it to the Administrative Tools > Services application. From the Services application, you can configure how the service starts.

To start the EQXLPD service, do the following:

  1. Go to Windows\System32, right-click cmd.exe and select Run as Administrator from the menu.
  2. In the command line type the following: Tools\EQXLPD\EQXLPD.exe /Service.
  3. Select Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services.
  4. Right-click the EQXLPD Service in the right pane and select Properties from the menu.
  5. On the General tab, set the Startup type as Automatic (Delayed start), Automatic, or Manual.
  6. On the Log On tab, ensure that Local System account is selected.
  7. Click Start, and click OK to save the changes.
