Specify record properties on this tab.
Option | Description |
---|---|
Record type | Enter the record type name. You may select the record type from the existing list on server, click the browse button (...) and select the record type. |
Rename title | Select this check box to rename the record title; otherwise, a new record will be created with the name of the input document. |
Duplicate record checking | Use this group to check if any record with the same title and record type, or with the same number already exists on the server. |
Find record |
Define the properties for the record search. This combo box has a predefined set of values:
The field next to the Find record combo box is enabled, only when the search is processed according to a record number. You may use RRTs instead of predefined properties. In this case the field next to the combo box will be enabled. When you use RRTs in this combo box, these RRTs should be replaced with the following values only:

If it exists | Define the behavior of the component if the duplicate record exists in the specified place (or a record with the specified record number).

Container | Specify the container, where a new record will be added: click the browse button (...) to open the Select Container dialog box. |
Enclose | Select this check box to enclose a record in the specified container. This check box is available only when a container is specified; otherwise, it is disabled. |
Assignee |
The assignee location name of a record will be written in this field. This field has three predefined options.

Home location |
The home location name of a record will be written in this field. This field has three predefined options.

Owner location |
The owner location name of a record will be written in this field. This field has three predefined options.

Series number | Enter a number of the record of series type.
Click the browse button (...) to open Find Record dialog box.
The record number should be specified only for record types that require it. If you specify a series number for a record type that does not require it, this field will be ignored at run time. If you leave this field empty for the record type that requires the series, the default series number will be applied to the record; in this case, when there is no default series number for the record type specified on the server, the documents will be rejected at run time. |
Record class | Specify the record class by choosing one from the predefined set of classes.
When you use RRTs in this combo box, these RRTs should be replaced with the following values only:

Security level | Enter the security level for the record. You can do it manually or through the Micro Focus Content Manager Security Levels dialog box. Click the browse button (...) to open this dialog box and select a desirable security level. If you leave this field blank the "no security level" security level be automatically assigned to the new record. |
Classification | Enter the path to the record classification.
Click the browse button (...) to open the Micro Focus Content Manager Classifications dialog box.
The server should allow attaching the selected classification to the record; otherwise, the record will be rejected at run time.

Update notes |
In this combo box, specify the method that will be used for updating notes.
This combo box has the following predefined list of values:
When you use RRTs in this combo box, the entered RRT should be replaced with one of the following values only:
If the RRT will be replaced with any other value, the job will be rejected.
This option is only enabled when you select Save document as new version, Overwrite last record version in If it exists combo box, or specify its value by way of RRTs. |
Notes | Add notes to a new record. They may consist of several lines. |
Check in comments | In this text box, specify a text that will be appended to the record notes when the document will be checked in on to the server. The text will be added with a user stamp generated by the server. |
Keep checked out | Select this check box if you want a record to be checked out. If this check box is selected then only the currently logged on user will be able to update the record and it cannot be finalized. |
Finalize record | Select this check box to finalize a record. If this check box is selected modification of the record will be forbidden. |
Advanced record properties | Click this button to open the Advanced Record Properties dialog box that allows you to configure other properties of the record. |
