How to isolate, monitor, or disable a component that is creating issues
This procedure describes how to monitor, isolate, or disable a component in an AutoStore task that is creating issues in workflows without stopping processes being run by the AutoStore service.
- Open the component and task that you want to edit in AutoStore Process Designer if it is not already open.
-
Right-click the component that you want to configure, and click Isolate Component on the shortcut
menu.
This runs a component in its own process thread so that it can be stopped, restarted, or disabled without stopping the AutoStore service.
- Right-click the component again, and click Isolated Component Properties on the shortcut menu.
-
In the Isolated Component Properties dialog box, configure the following options:
To Do this Provide more time for a component to finish its task before interrupting a workflow Select the Monitor component operation check box, and specify the time in minutes until an unresponsive component will time out and restart. This interval may allow a component to complete its task before AutoStore interrupts a workflow. Automatically restart a component before it develops issues Select the Track component usage check box, and set the restart threshold low enough to avoid issues that occur only after repeated use. Disable a component without disabling a process Click the Disable option. For detailed information about options in this dialog box, click the Help button. - Click OK.
