AutoStore object model
AutoStore processes depend on four key objects: configurations, tasks, components, and workflows.
The top-level object in the AutoStore object hierarchy is the configuration. A configuration defines one or more tasks. A task defines a process consisting of an ordered sequence of components. Property settings in a task activate and configure components to participate in workflows.
Concept | Description |
---|---|
Configurations | An AutoStore configuration is a script file that defines all the information required to run workflows on an AutoStore server. |
Components | AutoStore components provide the building blocks for workflows that manage documents in an organization. |
Tasks | AutoStore tasks specify a sequence of components for a process starting with a capture component and ending with a route component. |
Workflows | A workflow is the set of configured components by which documents are submitted through AutoStore. A workflow includes the capture and route components along with any process components that you activate for the workflow. |
